Beurre – Cake Shop Interior Design
A playful, joy-filled space crafted for a modern pâtisserie.
Beurre is a celebration of colour, craft and curiosity. The design approach centred on creating a destination that feels light-hearted, a space where the artistry of baking meets an expressive, cheeky interior.
Soft pastel tones set the foundation, paired with buttery yellows and cherry red to echo the brand’s identity. Curved lines in the flooring guide customers toward the hero of the shop: an illuminated display brimming with vibrant cakes. Behind the counter, clean lines and glossy finishes keep the focus on product and process.
Large-scale hand-painted mural by the talented owner introduces movement and whimsy, turning the walls into storytelling moments that shift the mood from “retail” to “experience.” Each colour, motif and stroke a reflection of her artistry with sugar or paint.
Window seating invites customers to pause, and enjoy an atmosphere that feels uplifting, memorable and unmistakably Beurre.
This project blends function with delight, transforming a simple cake shop into a joyful visual identity brought to life.
